Advanced driving school for experienced drivers

You already drive fast.
Let's find the 4 seconds.

PaceNote logs your braking points, apex speeds and steering corrections, then turns them into structured practice exercises built around your own telemetry.

Self-assessment

Where you actually lose time

Five losses appear in nearly every experienced driver's telemetry. Rate yourself on each one. Your instructor compares these ticks against the first session's logged data.

Rating: one filled tick means the loss rarely appears, five means it costs you on nearly every lap.
Time loss source Your rating Target Lost/lap
Braking pointMarker released 12-20 m early 1 of 5 0.9 s
Brake release rateSnap release, no trailing ramp 1 of 5 0.6 s
Mid-corner paceLift at the apex, then reapply 2 of 5 1.1 s
Steering correctionsExtra inputs on long corners 1 of 5 0.7 s
Throttle pickupWaiting for the exit kerb 1 of 5 1.3 s

Typical total: 4.6 seconds per lap across the five sources.

Eight competencies, scored before and after

The skill assessment runs on the first and the fourth driver development session. Each competency is rated on track, from braking point in metres to steering corrections per lap, so your plan is built on measured numbers rather than impressions.

Competency Session 01 Session 04 Delta
Braking point consistency 42 m 31 m 26%
Apex speed 92 km/h 104 km/h 13%
Corner exit speed 78 km/h 94 km/h 21%
Throttle pick-up point 3.4 s 1.9 s 44%
Vision lead distance 1.8 s 3.2 s 78%
Steering corrections per lap 14 5 64%
Trail-braking overlap 0.4 s 1.1 s 175%
Lap-time variance ±1.9 s ±0.4 s 79%

Baselines are individual and deltas depend on practice between sessions, so your own figures will differ. Read how each score is set in the assessment method, then book the first scored run on the booking form. No official licensing or government certification is provided.

Six drills we run on track

Each drill attacks one measurable habit. Your instructor sets the rep count after the assessment, and every rep is logged so the delta can be plotted against your session-01 baseline.

  1. Braking point discipline

Move the braking point later without locking a front wheel.

    Duration
    25 min
    Repetitions
    8
    Metric moved
    Braking point (m)
  2. Apex speed calibration

Carry more minimum speed through the apex without running wide.

    Duration
    30 min
    Repetitions
    6
    Metric moved
    Apex km/h
  3. Steering correction count

Reduce the number of small steering inputs per corner.

    Duration
    20 min
    Repetitions
    10
    Metric moved
    Corrections per lap
  4. Throttle unwind

Pick up the throttle earlier as steering lock comes off.

    Metric moved
    Exit km/h
  5. Vision lead scan

Fix the eyes two corners ahead and hold a steady line.

    Duration

    Repetitions
    12
    Metric moved
    Centre-line deviation (cm)
  6. Consistency loop

Repeat the same reference points lap after lap under fatigue.

    Metric moved
    Lap-time spread (s)

Drills are assigned inside your session plan, never sold as a fixed package. Book the skill assessment or read the full drill method.

05 Debrief

Every lap gets a timestamp and a number.

Instructor feedback from session 04 at Kyiv Circuit, written live and paired with the telemetry values recorded at the same moment on the same corner.

  1. 12:41:08

You brake eleven metres later into Turn 3 and hold the apex, but the exit costs you. Release from 80 percent to zero over four tenths of a second instead of lifting at once.

    • Braking point62 m
    • Apex118 km/h
    • Exit141 km/h
  2. 12:43:22

Steering corrections through Turn 7 dropped from five to one. Hands stayed at nine and three, and the weight transfer settled before the apex rather than during it.

    • Corrections1
    • Apex104 km/h
    • Exit122 km/h
  3. 12:45:51

Throttle at Turn 9 now opens three tenths earlier with no rear movement. The gain repeated on both clean laps, so we keep it as written rather than as a lucky one-off.

    • Braking point48 m
    • Apex96 km/h
    • Exit109 km/h
  4. 12:48:17

Final stint: braking point held within four metres across six consecutive laps. That consistency is the baseline we build session 05 on, so bring the same reference markers.
